i think thank you notes are part of your personal style – not only a reflection of the style you wear in what kind of card you buy, but also your style in that you actually thank people. i write thank yous for all sorts of situations – thank you for having me to diner, thank you for having us for the weekend, thank you for the gift. it never hurts to show gratitude!
