Easy Churro Bites Recipe

Using canned biscuits makes these bites so super simple!
Prep Time 10 mins
Cook Time 15 mins
Total Time 25 mins
Course Dessert
Servings 32 bites

Ingredients

  • 2 qt vegetable oil, for frying see notes
  • 1 can of biscuits (8 count)
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon or more to your taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oil to 375.
  • While the oil is heating, cut the biscuits into quarters; mix cinnamon and sugar together in a separate bowl and set aside.
  • Fry each side of the bites until golden brown, about 5-6 at a time depending on how large your pot is. Do not over crowd the pot, it will decrease the temperature of your oil.
  • Remove bites from the oil and drain on a paper towel lined baking sheet for about 30 seconds.
  • Roll bites in the cinnamon sugar, shake, and place on a plate.
  • Continue with remaining bites.
  • Serve warm (remember, these do not taste great once they've cooled too much. They also do not taste good without sugar.) with raspberry sauce (raspberry jam thinned with water), chocolate dipping sauce, caramel sauce, etc.

Notes

Use a vegetable oil for the frying, olive oil will not taste good so the neutral oil is the best choice. I usually use soybean oil.

Keep an eye on the temperature of the oil to make sure it doesn't decrease or increase. Adjust heat accordingly as you fry the bites.
