How to Make Caramel Apple Cider

Share:

We made it to Friday! I’m ready to celebrate the end of a crazy week, and 100% ready to whip up a batch of these cozy caramel apple ciders and curl up next to the fire. It’s a gloomy day here today – gray skies, misty and foggy out, and the leaves in our backyard are bursting with fall colors. I’m loving it.

These caramel apple ciders were such a hit last weekend, and when hubby said they were amazing (after pouring a shot of bourbon into his), I knew I had to share.

The apple cider and caramel are like a caramel apple in a cup – and basically a copycat of the Starbucks caramel apple cider (which, admittedly I haven’t had in probably 15 years). For every cup of cider, you’ll want a tablespoon of caramel sauce. Then top with whipped cream, which is a not-to-be-skipped step, and a dash of cinnamon.

These are a great mocktail but easily a delicious cocktail – just add an ounce (or two depending on how big your cup is) of your favorite bourbon, whiskey or rum.

Definitely try these drinks – so easy to make! You just heat up the cider and caramel in a pot, pour into a mug, top with whipped cream and cinnamon. A few ingredients, a few quick steps, and you’ve got a major crowd pleaser on your hands.

Also, just note – if you serve these in a clear glass, make sure you have a cloth napkin or a handle. These get so hot, you don’t want to burn your pretty little fingers!
