How to Make Caramel Apple Cider

We made it to Friday! I’m ready to celebrate the end of a crazy week, and 100% ready to whip up a batch of these cozy caramel apple ciders and curl up next to the fire. It’s a gloomy day here today – gray skies, misty and foggy out, and the leaves in our backyard are bursting with fall colors. I’m loving it.

These caramel apple ciders were such a hit last weekend, and when hubby said they were amazing (after pouring a shot of bourbon into his), I knew I had to share.

Boozy Peanut Butter Dalgona

Did you even quarantine if you haven’t made a Dalgona? I’ll tell you what – you haven’t lived if you haven’t made these boozy peanut butter dalgonas!

I had been putting off making a Dalgona for what feels like months because, seriously, everyone is doing it and what can I show you that you hadn’t seen already? And then, I thought, maybe this would work with that peanut butter whiskey sitting on our bar. I can tell you, it does. Oh boy, does it ever.

How to Make an Irish Godfather (Cocktail)

Leave it to St. Paddy’s day to be the perfect excuse to drink some whiskey all for the sake of research. Really guys, happy to take one for the team here to bring you a fun cocktail! Enter: Irish Godfather Cocktails.

My first introduction to this cocktail was with my family, exchanging stories about our grandfather just after he passed away early this year. My grandparents have always enjoyed a pre-dinner cocktail, every day, and it’s really a family tradition I can get behind. My grandmother told us the only way she’d drink whiskey is with a splash of amaretto on top. Genius, she is! And then she was like, “Hailey. It’s a thing. It’s called the Godfather!”

Big Batch Guava Hurricane Cocktail Recipe for Mardi Gras

Woo hoo! It’s Friday. We made it. And in my book, every hour is happy hour, so let’s get this party started! Today, as we wrap up our Mardi Gras celebration with a bang, we’re talking all about a big batch hurricane cocktail recipe! Get those pitchers ready, drink stirrers prepped and the ice made!

Okay, can you guys tell I feel about 99% better than I did a few days ago? Yep. 5 o’clock somewhere and I. Am. Here. For. It. These hurricanes were so good. You should know, though, a traditional hurricane cocktail has passion fruit, so just check out my note in the recipe section. For this, I rocked it with Guava juice because it’s what I could get my hands on. It was great. No harm, no foul, right?

And if you are from NOLA, I’m so sorry this isn’t a traditional hurricane cocktail! I’ll try next time to find passion fruit!

French Style Hot Chocolate Recipe

Can I just tell you how excited I was for an impending snow storm? I was 100% ready to be snowed in under several inches of snow and get all cozy with our pup and my hubby and Netflix and a little chaud chocolat.

Is there anything better than hot chocolate when you’re snowed in? But, I guess it’s fine since is still quite cold and I still want to be cozy inside with the rain we’re having.

After our trip to Paris where we had several real hot chocolates, I knew I wanted to try it at home. It really is easy, so decadent, and something you make for friends. Because if you don’t, I can’t promise your jeans will fit!

5 Christmas Cocktails

Admittedly, I am very simple when it comes to a cocktail. If you want a solid moscow mule or a vodka + [enter whatever your 1, only 1, mixer is], I’ve definitely got you covered. Lately, I’ve been wanting to shake up our gatherings by offering one signature drink for our dinner parties. Ya know, the kind where I can memorize the ingredients, whip a drink together and make it look effortless?
