$15 Trader Joe’s Hostess Gifts

This time of year, I’m always trying to come up with some cute and clever hostess gifts that don’t kill your bank account but also feel like a thoughtful gesture. It’s the thought that counts!

I love a consumable gift, especially for a hostess gift, and when I saw this olive oil set from Trader Joe’s I knew this would be a great part of a gift! The set comes with three oils, one each from Italy, Greece and Spain. Together they would make a great present, but you can separate them and get 3 gifts out of the $10 set.

Chocolate Covered Clementines with Maldon Salt

This time of year, I go all in on the clementines! I love that the winter is a time for citrus to shine. I also go all in on the quick and easy treats, like these chocolate covered clementines. I actually will confess to you – these are tangerines. Trader Joe’s ran out of clems!

You know from my “recipe” for no-bake shortbread cookies, I love a good, easy, quick hack for a treat. All you need is the chocolate hard shell – this one is my favorite, and some Maldon salt. The salt flake is the key. Y’all know how much I love salt, and I take it very seriously. When you finish a dessert with salt, you want a large flake and the Maldon flakes are the best.

8 Gifts for Homebodies

I love this time of year, when the house gets all cozy with Christmas decorations and the fireplace and pajamas all weekend. I am definitely a homebody, and as this bump grows (25 weeks and counting!) I’m finding myself loving being home even more as the urge to nest starts to kick in.

This is probably my most favorite gift guide of all time – someone give this list to Santa for me, k?

Steak Quesadillas Recipe for Cinco de Mayo

This year, we’re not doing the whole taco bar thing. In fact, there are. no. tacos. on this year’s cinco de mayo menu! But, there are steak quesadillas! I’ll be honest with you – when I was thinking about the menu and I put steak quesadillas on, I thought, “Hailey, nobody needs a recipe for steak quesadillas! It’s steak and cheese and tortillas!” But, I actually really loved how the steak came out and 100% need to share this recipe!

Now, the good news is: steak quesadillas are so super easy to make. The even better news: They’re delicious. It’s really a win-win, isn’t it?

Chips & Salsa Grazing Board for Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is definitely one of my favorite days of the year, because it’s one of the few I can force my husband to have tacos. For some unknown reason, he’s not a huge Mexican food fan even as I try my hardest to make him a convert. This year’s Cinco de Mayo menu is kicking of with a chips, salsa, and a few other things, grazing board. You guys know how much I love a good grazing board!

Thankfully chips and salsa are a fan fav in our house and I don’t have to try so hard to rally support for those on cinco de mayo or any other day of the year.

Carrot + Roses Arrangement for Easter

For the past few years I’ve been seeing this arrangement, and ones like it, pop up on Instagram when I’ve been looking for Easter centerpiece inspiration. Feeling intimidated, because really who the heck do I think I am to be able to create something like that, I just moved right along and saved it for “someday.” Well, friends, someday came this weekend and I went for it. And it was not at all as challenging as I thought it was going to be!

You just need a few of the right supplies and a little bit of patience, and I promise you, you too can have this centerpiece. And I’ll even tell you how to make it better than how mine came out!

Valentine’s Day Gifts for Foodies & a GIVEAWAY!

So are you team “Yay V-Day” or are you team “Hallmark Holiday move on?” I feel like in our house we’re kind of somewhere in between, but I do love a holiday that gives you an excuse to acknowledge people you love, whether with a little sweet treat or a little gift.

And for you, dear, sweet readers, I have a little treat for you!
